After a long alliance with Joomla CMS, I decided to switch to WordPress. But it was very unfortunate that it did not meet my expectations and client requirement. So I have no option but to switch back to Joomla. It was too late to even think about that since we have already deployed more than 600 articles. Well now we were really worried about the time it is going to take to have all them posted to Joomla from WordPress. We all love shortcuts, so I started digging up to find a solution to transfer/convert WordPress Posts to Joomla articles along with associated categories.

Caution: BACKUP! BACKUP! BACKUP! before proceeding. Always backup you site beofre making any hacks. Always respect the copyright and see if you can leave the credits of the developer since they have provided component / module to you for free.

Note: The default code editor of your host may some times hide the code. Use your system's default notepad or Notepad++ to edit the files menioned in this article.

You will need to edit two files and make a minor change to remove "Powered by Phoca Download" link from your Joomla site. Go to the file system of your Joomla insallation.

I was so fed up with the regular "Read More" button titles and wanted to customize it to something more appealing and friendly. Here is how I changed read more button titles in Joomla 3.

Open your Joomla Administrator Page and navigate to Extensions > Language Manager

After using this free CMS Joomla for a while, I've felt so good an delighted. I'm sure, like me, you may have also developed few of your sites using this amazing free CMS Joomla.  I've not just developed websites or provided solutions to my clients using Joomla, I've delivered satisfaction using Joomla. The journey of using Joomla started back in 2009 for me and it was so amazing that I can write loads and loads about it.

I initially thought of building a site to showcase some articles as a learning material so that others can take advantage and learn new things. With this thought in my head, I started cruising around the web to find a solution to build a website.
